"If you are new to canning or been at it a few years this book goes into good detail about each type of canning/preserving method with RECIPES!! I learned somethings I didn't know about acidifying tomatoes and how to correct previous canning mistakes so it doesn't happen again.

I also learned about food dehydration and what gets best results and a few recipes to inspire the methodology.

Freeze drying is something I haven't even thought of until now. I'm not going to go buy a big freeze dryer but at least I know that it's an option.

The book starts with the very basics of food canning including supplies needed and explains the use or need for each.

I cannot say enough about this book it is a ton of information organized into an easy to comprehend flowing read."
